Can’t Go Home

As the saying goes, “you can’t ever go home again.”

Home for me must be that place where I was unburdened by the joy of coaching, untroubled by all the methods for improving processes at work, and uninspired by all the books in the world.

Because barely 3 years after “retiring” from strength & conditioning, I find myself writing training programs and dreaming about new articles.
Barely 1 year after claiming I could take it easier on myself at work, I find myself up late at night looking for better project and product management schemes.
Barely 6 months into a 100-book challenge for the year, I find myself wondering just how many I can really read this year — and kicking myself for only reading in English!

So I suppose you really can’t go home.

If you can’t win, change the rules.

Let’s redefine “home” then: I’m Dunte. I coach speed and strength. I study languages. I ride bikes. I obsess over processes. And I love books.

See, that’s nice, right? Welcome to my new home.

A recent adventure: riding hard in windy, dusty St. George, UT.
